Ron Elfenbein

Ron Elfenbein, MD

Medical Director

Our Medical Director and Founder, Dr. Ron Elfenbein, started our facility in 2016 with a desire to provide stellar care and a stellar experience to all our patients. Dr. Elfenbein is a board-certified  Johns Hopkins trained ER doctor who currently practices emergency medicine at multiple facilities in MD and DE. He was selected and served as chief resident in his final year at Hopkins. 

While a resident, he was awarded an STTR grant from NASA in 2 stages totaling over half a million dollars to develop protocols for airway management in emergencies on the International Space Station and Space Shuttle Transportation systems. He has a patent pending from his research. 

He has worked with the United States Secret Service at the White House, the Beltsville MD training facility, and at the Salt Lake City Olympic games in 2002. He was a member of the US Secret Service Emergency Services Program Medical Response Team deployed for the entirety of the Olympic Games providing medical care to over 5000 federal agents. He was the Republican nominee for State Senate and narrowly lost his bid in 2010 for the District 30 MD State Senate Seat against a 30-year incumbent. 

He is a Nationally sought-after speaker and has spoken across the country on various topics and for various companies. He has been a featured guest on national news on: Fox News, CBS News, Newsmax TV, CTGN America, Breitbart Radio, Fox-45 local news and internationally on Sky News.  He is a featured guest every Monday on CBS News and has been for the last 5 months.

He currently serves as medical consultant/medical director to multiple companies and is medical director of multiple ambulance companies in MD. He has published an E-book on Coronavirus that he gives away for free. He is an active volunteer in his community.  He is an ice hockey coach for Navy Youth Hockey and is President of the Somerset County Medical Society. He also has sat on various committees at many of the hospitals he has been affiliated with and his Temple. He served on the Board of Directors for the Anne Arundel County Red Cross Chapter and the Anne Arundel County Mental Health Agency. He is on the board of his community association. He is married to a Pediatric Oncologist at Johns Hopkins and has 4 kids.

James M. Brothers DNPc, NP, NRP, FAANP

Assistant Medical Director

James recently retired after 31 years with Howard County Fire and Rescue (HCFR).  James completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Maryland School of Nursing.  James has worked as a Family and Emergency Nurse Practitioner for the University of Maryland Hospital systems and taught part time at the School of Nursing, University of Maryland. He is currently enrolled in the Doctor of Nurse Practice at University of Maryland.  James provides administrative and medical oversight for Maryland’s most progressive public safety EMS systems.  James is a core faculty member of the Maryland Resuscitation Academy which is committed to improving cardiac arrest survival.  He has served on and has led several committees at the local, regional, and federal levels.  James has received numerous leadership awards including the Harvard Fellowship at Harvard University Kennedy School of Government for State and Local Executives 2015 and Chief Officer of the year 2017.  He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is the Vice President for the International Association of EMS Chiefs (IAEMSC). 

James is certified in LEAN Six Sigma and specializes in process management.  James is now serving as the Assistant Medical Director for First Call Medical Center.

Kristina Dillon

Director of Special Operations

Kristina comes from a family who in one way or another works in public service. She started her career at 16 by joining the fire department and obtaining an EMT certification. She has worked in Emergency Rooms and Urgent Cares ever since. Kristina joined the team in 2016 when First Call Medical first opened. She worked as a Medical Assistant, was promoted to Clinic Manager and now is the Director of Special Operations.

She currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland Global Campus in Health Service Administration and Investigative Forensics.

Elizabeth Stampone "Beth"

Director of Operations

Beth is a credentialed healthcare operations leader with 15-plus years of Medical Industry experience. Her experience comes with Operational Management including Consultant, Project Manager and Implementations. She has extensive experience leading people, managing programs and initiatives that directly influence organizational growth and success. She brings to First call a history of developing, executing, and producing high-performing teams that work together to overcome obstacles and achieve goals. She has a solid background in partnering with stakeholders in strategic planning, operational problem solving, transforming corporate culture and effectively managing change.

Neheh Barry "Nen"

Site Manager

Neheh Barry, or “Nen”, was born in Dominica and raised in St. Croix, Virgin Islands. She graduated from Monroe College in 2011. She has a Medical Assistant Associate Degree (MA) and is also a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and a Medication Technician (MT). She served in the Virgin Island National Guard (VING) for six years. 

Nen moved to Maryland in August 2017 and served for two years in the Maryland Army Reserve. When she started at First Call Medical Center in November 2020, she was hired as a Medical Assistant. Now, 6 months later, she is a Site Manager for one of the many First Call locations. She is a mother of two.

Shannon Battle

Site Manager

Shannon has been in the medical field for over 15 years. She earned her license as a Polysomnographic Technologist over thirteen years ago and has worked in a variety of areas including sleep medicine, clinical education, cardiology, pulmonology, and DME. Most recently, she joined First Call Medical Center as a Site Manager. Along the way, she has always been drawn to roles that allow her to use her experience and personality to lead teams. She has spent the past seven years pursuing management and leadership roles. Shannon is a highly professional and organized medical office manager with a solid experience in managing and overseeing daily office operations and healthcare operations as well as coordinating medical and administrative staff to deliver high-quality patient care services. She has excellent communication skills, leadership skills, and multi-tasking skills. She has basic knowledge of accounting principles, medical terminology, laws, and ethics to ensure the medical practice runs smoothly.

Alisha Broomfield

Clinical Manager

Alisha Broomfield is the clinical manager for our Gambrills location. She has 8 years’ experience in the medical field and during this time, obtained her NRCMA certification through the National Association for Health Professionals. During this time, she also completed the CNA and GNA program at College of Southern Maryland and obtained her CNA/GNA certifications. During her 3 years with the company, she has worked in primary care and urgent care facilities as a medical assistant, which eventually led to her advancement into a clinical management role. Alisha thoroughly enjoys working with people and being able to deliver the best patient care possible. First Call Medical Center has not only increased her knowledge clinically but has truly shown what it is to work for a team and as a family. 

In her spare time she loves to spend time outdoors, cooking out with friends and family, fishing and traveling to the mountains.

Rhonda Sherrill

Administration Manager

Rhonda grew up in Lincolnton, North Carolina and has worked in the medical field for 25 years. A 1996 graduate of Gaston College, she holds a degree in Health Science. In addition, Rhonda is also certified as a medical assistant, lab technician, phlebotomist, and EKG technician. She has experience working in emergency care, surgical medicine, family medicine, pediatrics, gastroenterology, endocrinology, urology, neurology, OB-GYN and ECT. 

In 2006, Rhonda relocated to Maryland to join the medical staff at the Naval Academy at Annapolis and later at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC.  She’s also worked in Pain Management and Urgent Care. Rhonda excels in leadership and new challenges which has led to her most recent promotion as Administrative Manager for First Call Medical Center in Gambrills MD.  She’s a mother of three and currently has eight grandchildren.

Prabhdeep Suri

Supervisor

Prabhdeep Suri joined First Call Medical Center in October of 2020 as a medical assistant. As of February 2021, he is the supervisor at Odenton VFC Covid-19 testing drive-thru facility and Infusion Center. In 2014, he graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, Psychology, and a minor in Mathematics and Spanish. Since January of 2013, he has also been an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with Special Events Medical Services (SEMS) where he is on the medical staff for different venues like Royal Farms Arena, Capital One Arena, Naval Stadium, University of Maryland College Park,  and many universities and other venues throughout Delaware, Maryland, and Virginia. During his tenure at SEMS, he aided the company by providing EMS staff support and helped manage the Baltimore and Washington DC teams by scheduling personnel for events, performing as lead, and creating a safe and reliable work environment. 

When he’s not busy at work, he is a real estate agent and enjoys flipping houses in the Baltimore area. He also plays volleyball and likes to spend time with family and friends.

SharRon Davis

Supervisor

SharRon Davis is a supervisor for First Call Medical Center at EH. She has been in the medical field for more than 20 years. She has had other jobs in between but somehow always ends up back where her true passion is – helping people. She loves doing things that put smiles on people’s faces even if the situation seems bad.

Since working at First Call Medical, she has learned that no matter how high of a position you hold, you are all part of a team and on the same level.
